On April the 28th, 2021, the Fifth technical online session of the discussion club SCIF “Digitalization of production at chemical enterprises” was held.
The program of the event included presentations by leading companies of the foreign and domestic markets of chemical industry on the most important issues of digitalization of production processes, as well as discussions on the main topics of the event involving a wide range of technical specialists.
The geography of the online session broadcast expanded to South-East and Central Asia, the Middle East and Western Europe, covering 65 production enterprises from 25 countries: Algeria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. More than 230 representatives of chemical plants became active participants of discussions on innovative approaches to implementation of digital technologies in production. More than 350 viewers of the live broadcast could get acquainted with the presentations in Russian and English languages on the latest technological solutions to optimize the enterprises work and ask questions to the speakers.
Due to the use of high-quality simultaneous interpreting the problem of the language barrier between the participants of the online session was solved.
The first part of the program was introduced by Haldor Topsoe which presented ClearView™ digital services system to improve the efficiency of chemical production. The presentation aroused lively interest of the audience and active discussions on the key points of the implementation of this project.
Lisa Krumpholz, Head of Sales at Navigance (a Clariant group company) shared the strategies for realizing the potential of digitalization at chemical enterprises, basing on many years’ experience of the company.
CEO of Sprana Mindaugas Steponavicius made a presentation on process analytical technologies for analyzing and monitoring production processes, having demonstrated the project samples.
A separate part of the program was devoted to the presentation of Lothar Gillenkirch, Head of the Service Department at HAVER & BOECKER NIAGARA. The speaker presented the latest tool for digital control of vibrating screen – PULSE Condition Monitoring – and answered all the audience’s questions about the details of its application.
At the end of the event, an invited guest from India – Dinesh Pratap Singh, Executive Vice President of SMARTCHEM TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, provided the detailed company’s approach to achieve most from digitalization in chemical manufacturing process.
